Audio Cassette Tape to CD transfer

Convert Audio cassette tape to Audio CD.

Turn around time:
A cassette to CD copy takes one to two business day(s).
Multiple tapes may take longer.
Rush service (same day to a couple of hours ) will be available with 50% price up, but
depends on availability (please ask us).

Price:
A cassette tape, up to 60 minutes, to an Audio CD: $15.95
Over 60 minutes will go on to another audio CD, that will be $15.95 x 2 = $31.90.

For instance, a 60 minutes cassette tape(side A + side B) will go on to one audio CD as one audio file.
When you have a 90 minutes cassette tape, we have to use two audio CDs.
Each CD will be labeled as side A and side B, the price is $31.90 total( $15.95 x 2 ).

If you have two or more 90 minutes cassette tapes, we will use one CD for each side(45 minutes).
It means that we will not fill an audio CD all the way up to 60 minutes(one side of 45 minutes + 15 minutes of another side).
Accordingly three 90 minutes tapes will be transferred to six audio CDs, at the price of $95.70( = $15.95 x 6).

-1. The audio CD made from your cassette tape can be played on regular CD player, as well as PC/Mac computer.
-2. We don't cut tracks for each song.
You are getting a long audio file on an audio CD per each cassette side (side A & B).
-3. The original file extension you will see is .cda, which is a shortcut name of audio CD.
The audio CD file is an uncompressed audio file.
The file is big but the very best quality.
-4. You can change the audio CD to MP3 or AAC for iPhone, iPod, iPad or other MP3 players.
Converting an audio CD to MP3 or AAC format can be done easily by just a drag and drop into iTunes.
-5. We can give you MP3 file, instead of an audio CD with same price.
But we recommend cassette to CD, not to MP3 because uncompressed audio files on audio CD has much better quality than compressed MP3 files.
Also, whenever you need, you can make MP3 of AAC files easily from audio CD.
-6. If you want to Edit the file, like cut trucks, you can do so with many free digital audio editor.

Accordingly three 90 minutes tapes will be transferred to six audio CDs, at the price of $95.70( = $15.95 x 6).

Note:
1.
Micro Cassette has two recording speeds.
A 60 minutes tape can be recorded up to 2 hours using LP(long play) mode.
When this is the case, even though the cassette is labeled 60 minutes, the price is $15.95 x 2, because two CDs are required for 2 hour recording.

(think about phone answering machine tape, dictating machine)
Therefore, the sound quality is normally not as good as regular cassettes.

What format of music file am I getting on the CD?

You can easily turn it into MP3 or AAC file by a drag and drop into iTunes.

Can you convert to Mp3 file?

Yes, we convert your cassette tape to Mp3 file(s), however, we don't recommend Mp3 files.
Because .cda files on an audio CD are uncompressed full quality audio files, which reproduces the very best music quality.
Mp3 or AAC is a compressed compact version of the .cda file, because audio CD is too big for Mp3 players and for the Internet.

You insert the audio CD to your PC or Mac, then open iTunes.
In the iTunes, go to CD, right click a file or go Edit, and change to Mp3.

Total $31.90

-3. Once a work is done, all temporary files will be deleted from our system.

To put it in writing, we have our Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreement Form ready for you.

Yes, it will work on your computer if your PC/Mac has a CD/DV drive.
It will work with Windows Media Player and iTunes.

Can you transfer a portion of my tape to CD?

No. We do not offer any editing services.
We will transfer whatever on the tape to a CD as a whole.

Of course Yes.

An extra CD is $9.95 each.

Is there any Regional code protection on the CD?

No.
No such regional code nor PAL/NTSC TV systems with audio CD.

How can I edit the audio CD?

If you want to cut or trim a portion of an audio file, mark tracks of each song, or enhance audio quality,
you can do it from the audio CD in 2 steps:
1. First, you will change the audio CD to editable file format, like MP3 or AAC.
This can be done easily by inserting an audio CD into your PC or Mac and open iTunes( free from Apple).
In the iTunes, go to the CD, select the file then change it to mp3 by right click or from Edit menu.
2. Edit the mp3 or AAC file by an audio edit software.
You can download one of these free audio editing software, and start editing as you like.
Or before downloading software, check your computer first, chances are that you have an audio editing software installed on your computer already.
If you don't have any music editing application in your system, and not sure which free software to download, Audacity might be a good start. Many people are happy with this software both on PC or Mac.
If you don't mind paying for the software, AVS is a good choice.
